Network Marketing Is A Pyramid Scam ?

It has been sometime since I posted or updated new post. Sorry for the delay because I am busy planning for my LA and France holiday.. will be going on holiday again for about 3 weeks come next week. Keep you updated on the trip in "my activities" after I come back. Cheers.

I believe alot of people have in concept that network marketing is a pyramid scam and therefore choose not to get involved. I used to hear alot people whom I introduce the business to says this: "oh, is it those pyramid scams thing again ?" I used to get frustrated at those comments but now, after the success I have and the knowledge and growth I have aquired through this industry, I choose to laugh at their comments.

First of all there is a difference between a legimate Network Marketing company and a pyramid scam company. I will address this in my next post, but first of all, let us just focus at the word, "pyramid". So.. what do you know about a pyramid ?

The pyramid is in fact, the strongest structure in an organisation. It is the basic building block for any big organisation to run. Laugh at the word pyramid .. but do you know that in reality, everyone is working in a pyramid structured company.

You are working for Bank, Government Sector or maybe, you are a school teacher for instance. The CEO, High ranking officers or the Principal sits on top of the pyramid. Therefore, the money they drew is 5 times or 10 times your pay. Come bonus, again, some receive 10 months or even a staggering 30 months of bonuses while you take home a maximum of 3 months ? Despite their pay difference in basic, now we are looking at the bonus difference.. oh come on.. give me a break.. and you tell me you are not in a pyramid structure where the bottom works for the top ?

Ok, let us not talk about the money they receive. Let us talk about the time and the amount of work they do as compared to yours. Yes, you see big bosses spending their time playing golf, enjoying high tea and going to big social dinners while you work OT and spend less time with your family. Their lunch time can be 2 or even 3 hours while your lunch time is only limited to 45 mins or if you are lucky, an hour. Is this what you call a fair treatment or non-pyramid company ? Yes, you often hear reasonings like networking or project meetings or big deals to be talked over.. but over at the golf course ?

In fact, the top management are able to do that because they are leveraging on your efforts to get things done. They knew that with the bottom of the pyramid working, they are earning money. In fact, if you compared their time spend in work with yours, its like they worked 3hrs a day, 3 days a week while you are working 10 hrs a day, 5 days a week. So its 36 hrs vs 200 hrs and they get paid on an average monthly scale $30000 as compared to your $3000. 36 hrs for $30,000.. 200 hrs for $3,000... you do the maths.. it sure sounds "fair to me"..

So.. are you in a pyramid structured company ? well.. unless you re self-employed, as long as you are working for a company, you are in a pyramid. That is a fact ! So next time when people mentioned that is network marketing a pyramid scam.. you should really laugh at their ignorance than being afraid and become defensive. In fact, if your company does have a third party tool which can educate them what a pyramid is, all the more you should show it to them and let them be educated.

Ok.. So what if you are in a pyramid structured company.. what does it have to do with Network Marketing ? Well, in normal pyramid structured company a CEO is a CEO and the amount he draws is definetly out of reach from the workers. The hours vs the amount of money he receive is definetly not fair. The magic of network marketing is that the hours you put in is going to justify the amount of money you receive and of course, the promotional ladder up the structure.

Say, in a typical company, you could be the hardest working executive but because of your position, you are drawing the same pay scale as your fellow collegues who do not work as hard as you do. In a Network Marketing company, your work justify your pay. So if you work harder than your fellow distributor, rest assured that you will be promoted faster based on the number of people you sponsor and trained. This would in turn increase your pay scale and get more benefits.

The best part is, you can earn more than the company's CEO or even the top distributor in the company if you put in enough effort ! Can that happen in a Coporate company ? NO ! In fact, my business partner Randy Gage is being sponsored by Eric Worrie in a network marketing business. That is to say, Eric is higher in the pyramid structure than Randy but in just 6 short months, Randy has exceeded Eric in terms of earning and rankings. Randy now brings in $3,000,000 in residual income annually, that is about USD$300,000 of residual income every month !
